IKEA, one of the region’s busiest retail destinations, contacted Action Asphalt & Concrete to resolve a serious drainage issue affecting the loading zone and to improve the longevity of their parking lot.
The store’s loading area had begun collecting water along the curbline, creating a large puddle after each rainstorm. This presented a safety hazard and a negative customer experience as patrons were forced to step into standing water. Our team provided a fast and effective solution by installing an asphalt overlay, adjusting the slope to restore proper drainage away from pedestrian areas.
Once drainage issues were resolved, we returned for three consecutive nights to complete a full crack fill and sealcoat application. Working overnight ensured the store remained fully operational during business hours while protecting the newly repaired surfaces and extending the pavement’s life.
